ABOUT

I TELL STORIES.

According to my mother, the moment of my birth goes something like this: “She was screaming as soon as her head popped out and she hasn’t shut up since.” She’s not wrong. Somewhere in her basement you’ll find my grade school report cards, many of which warn that my chattiness would be a detriment to my higher education and future career. They were wrong.

My story as a writer began in 2010 when I launched a blog that amassed millions of views over its five year run. Around 2013, I began to team up with companies like Pottery Barn, Banana Republic, Paul Mitchell, Coca-Cola, and HP Intel—but it wasn’t until 2017, after years of primarily writing about myself with the occasional brand collab, that I had a career-altering realization: I’m not that interesting.

Yet, somehow, people were interested—proving that the subject matter isn’t really the point. The point is the way the story is told, and it’s always been the telling part that’s hooked me. It’s why I can’t shut up.

Since then, I’ve put down my memoir pen, put on my branding hat, and had way more fun. I’ve developed copy for startups, billion-dollar companies, and agencies. I’ve written about skincare, footwear, and breakfast foods on blogs, websites, and social. As it turns out, there are so many better stories to tell than my own. Yours included.
